Annual Fundraiser Supports the Decatur Rotary Foundation
and Local Non-Profits
The Decatur Rotary members, family and friends turned out for our annual fundraiser, held at the Independent Distillery, 547 E. College Ave, Decatur, on the evening of May 18.
Highlights included a live auction, silent auction, fun games, and a raffle drawing.
The net proceeds from this event directly benefit the Foundation and its many beneficiaries. In recent years, your donations and generosity have supported these initiatives (to name but a few):

Let the games begin!
Dan reminded everyone to purchase beads for the Heads or Tails game.
Hosts Dan DeWoskin and Doug Tozzi kicked off the games and prizes portion of the evening with the (in)famous Heads or Tails game, one of the money raisers for the Decatur Rotary Foundation.
After everyone has made their guesses, anticipation builds as Doug gets ready to flip the coin for heads or tails. Guess wrong, you lose your beads!
Players like David Ewing go for "heads" prior to the flip of the coin.
The Raffle Begins
The Raffle portion of our fun and games kicked off with a drawing for a fine bottle of rum from Independent Distillers.
Drawing from the fedora hat by Dan DeWoskin, James Brewer-Calvert and Jennifer Dan Wey.
Dan shows fairness and impartiality, but Art Rosser still seemed to win most of the prizes!
