Speaker recap:
A Talk About Community Engagement

Lawrence Sharp introduces Jai Rogers of Delta Community Credit Union.

Jai Rogers, as the Vice President of Business and Community Development at Delta Community Credit Union, plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization is responsible to the communities it serves. She talked about the power of civic community engagement. In this capacity, Jai Rogers oversees initiatives that not only drive the credit union's business growth but also contribute positively to the well-being of the local communities.

Our speaker, Jai Rogers.

She talked about how organization are rising to these challenges in their own way:

• Coke: Clean Water and Sanitation

• Nike: Responsible Consumption and production

• Delta Community Credit Union: Financial education and responsibility

One key aspect of responsibility to the community involves the credit union's commitment to financial inclusion. Delta Community Credit Union focuses on providing accessible financial services to individuals and businesses within the community. This includes initiatives such as offering affordable loans, financial education programs, and promoting responsible banking practices. She talked about how financial education introduces youth to ‘How Money Works’  through budgeting, saving and investment.
Community development also extends beyond financial services.

Jai Rogers is also involved in fostering partnerships and collaborations with local organizations, non-profits, and government entities to address community needs. This includes supporting local schools, healthcare initiatives, or other programs that contribute to the overall development and welfare of the community.

President Tozzi presents a book to the DeKalb Library on educating children about money in honor of Ms. Rogers.

President Tozzi thanks Jai Rogers for her talk on corporate community responsibility.
